Warzone’s latest update is literally tearing maps apart

The newest Call of Duty: Warzone The update causes parts of the map to bend upwards, creating a bizarre distortion of Ashika Island. The Call of Duty: Warzone Battle Royale was home to Al Mazrah, Verdansk and the Pacific Caldera, but the current map has been torn apart by a new patch.

Reddit user Open24Seven recently shared a clip showing theirs War zone Soldier runs around Ashika while being chased. The clip begins with the player exiting what appears to be a looted building and seeing parts of the map floating in the sky. As you approach this part of the map, several buildings can be seen at the landmark well above the usual playing field. The player then runs to collect items from a loot cache before running to the floating parts of the map. As they get closer, this becomes War zone Map locations that were elevated continue to flicker into view as the player periodically catches a glimpse of what was supposed to be there.
What’s going on with the Call of Duty: Warzone map?
In this video, Open24Seven is seen near sections of the map that aren’t supposed to be there. While seemingly set on Ashika, the problematic parts of the map are similar to Verdansk or Al Mazrah. Several call of Duty Fans have noticed this particular error appearing occasionally since then War zone Season 1 began. According to some players, this only happens in games with high latency, which could indicate that the Reddit user was experiencing a lag on their end or on the server side.
